The Peaky Blinders.
As an avid fan the BBC's Peaky Blinders, I decided to create some vector portrait artwork inspired by the series.
This Bafta winning drama is loosely based on The Peaky Blinders and follows the trials, exploits and crimes of the infamous gang that operated in Birmingham just after World War I.
The story centres on the infamous Peaky Blinders family gang. It follows the trials, exploits and crimes of them and their ambitious and highly cunning leader, Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy pictured).
Having grown up in Birmingham and walked past the Garrison pub many times, I get a bit excited when I watch the show and hear them mentioning all these places and streets I know so well.
It's also crazy to think that all those years ago it was economic hardship that led to violent youth subculture and rebellion and I see the same patterns emerging today.
It's a highly entertaining drama with a few dodgy accents but a whole lot of talent. You may or may not have heard about them, and if you haven't (insert Brummie accent here) "Where the bloody 'ell 'ave you bin?"
This piece is just for fun, but if you would like a copy of this vector art portrait or any other members of the Peaky Blinders TV Series, please get in touch.
